Materials:
Sm amt worsted weight yarn (White, Pink)
Crochet hook, size F
Finishing Materials:
Plastic ring (2" in dia.)
Tapestry needle
1/4 yard (3/8" wide ribbon)
Glue
Pompom (for nose)
Brown or Black embroidery floss
Finished size: 4 1/2" T x 3 3/4" at widest point
Gauge: Not important to over all size.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Special Stitches:
Sc Dec: (insert hook in indicate st, pull up a lp) as many times as stated, yo, draw through all lps on hook to complete the st.
Head: (Using white)
Rnd 1) Join yarn to ring with a sl st; ch 1, (35 sc) around ring; join with a sl st in first sc. Pull up a loop and drop.
Ears: (Using pink)
Row 1) First Ear: right side facing; join pink to next sc from joining with a sl st; ch 1, sc in joining, sc in next sc: 2 sc.
Row 2) Ch 1, turn work; (2 sc) in first sc, (2 sc) in next sc: 4 sc.
Row 3) Ch 1, turn work; sc in first sc, sc in next 3 sc: 4 sc.
Row 4) Ch 1, turn work; sc in first sc, sc in next sc, sc dec over next 2 sc see special sts: 3 sc.
Row 5) Ch 1, turn work; sc in first sc, sc in next 2 sc: 3 sc.
Row 6) Ch 1, turn work; sc in first sc, sc dec over last 2 sc: 2 sc.
Row 7) Ch 1, turn work; sc dec over last 2 sc: 1 sc. Fasten off, secure ends.
Second Ear:
Row 1) Sk next 5 sc from where last st was worked on row 1 for first ear, wrong side facing, join yarn to next sc with a sl st; ch 1, sc in joining, (working toward first ear), sc in next sc: 2 sc.
Rows 2-7) Rep rows 2-7 for first ear.
Ear and Head Edging:
Pick up dropped loop on rnd 1 of head; evenly sc around the first ear, placing (1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 sc) in top of ear, sc in next 4 sc on head, evenly sc around second ear, placing (1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 sc) in top of ear; sc in each sc around the head; join with a sl st in first sc. Fasten off, secure ends.
Finishing:
Tie a bow with ribbon and glue to top of head between ears as shown in photo. Cut 4 pieces of embroidery floss, and apply glue to each length. Allow to dry and harden. Place 2 pieces on each side of bunny face at center bottom. Glue a pom pom to center bottom of head between whiskers.
