Week 1:

Materials:
Sm amt 4 ply worsted weight yarn (Cream or Beige)
Crochet hook size G

Gauge: 2 rows dc = 1"

Part A:

Rnd 1) Ch 5; 19 trc in 5th ch from hook (first 5 chs skipped count as first trc); join with a sl st to 5th ch of beg ch 5: 20 trc.

Rnd 2) Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in joining; * (2 dc) in next trc; rep from * around; join with a sl st to first dc (3rd ch of beg ch 3): 40 dc.

Rnd 3) Ch 3, dc in next 3 dc, (2 dc) in next dc; * dc in next 4 dc, (2 dc) in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st to first dc: 48 dc.

Rnd 4) Ch 3, dc in next 4 dc, (2 dc) in next dc; * dc in next 5 dc, (2 dc) in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st to first dc: 56 dc.

Rnd 5) Ch 1, hdc in joining; * hdc in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st to first hdc: 56 hdc. Fasten off; secure ends.

Place in plastic bag for next week.

Week 2:

Part B: (Make 4)

Row 1) Ch 23; dc in 5th ch from hook (first 4 ch skipped counts as first dc), dc in next 19 ch: 20 dc. Fasten off; secure ends.

Part C: (Make 4)

Row 1) Ch 18; dc in 5th ch from hook (first 4 ch skipped counts as first dc), dc in next 13 ch: 15 dc. Fasten off; secure ends.

Place in plastic bag for next week.

Week 3:

Extra Materials:
Sm amt 4 ply worsted weight yarn (Red or Dk Rose)
1 (3" dia) metal ring

Part C: (Using cream or beige)

Rnd 1) Ch 4; 11 dc in 4th ch from hook (first 3 ch skipped count as first dc); join with a sl st to first dc: 12 dc.

Rnd 2) Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in joining; * (2 dc) in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st to first dc: 24 dc.

Rnd 3) Ch 3, (2 dc) in next dc; * dc in next dc, (2 dc) in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st to first dc: 36 dc.

Rnd 4) Ch 3, dc in next dc, (2 dc) in next dc; * dc in next 2 dc, (2 dc) in next dc; rep from * to last 3 dc rem, holding metal ring close to work, dc in next 2 dc and over metal ring, (2 dc) in last dc and over metal ring; join with a sl st to first dc: 48 dc. Fasten off; secure ends.

Part D: (Using cream or beige)

Rnds 1-3) Rep rnds 1-3 for Part C.

Rnd 4) Ch 3, dc in next dc, (2 dc) in next dc; * dc in next 2 dc, (2 dc) in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st to first dc: 48 dc. (Do not end off).

Part E: (Using red or dk rose)

Rnd 1) Ch 3; 12 hdc in 3rd ch from hook; join with a sl st to first hdc: 12 hdc.

Rnd 2) Ch 4; 12 hdc in 2nd ch from hook; join with a sl st to first hdc: 12 hdc.

Rnd 3) Ch 4; 12 hdc in 2nd ch from hook; join with a sl st to first hdc; join with a sl st in back lps of corresponding hdc on first rnd (creating a triangle): 12 hdc. Fasten off; secure ends.

Place in plastic bag for next week.

Week 4:

Extra Materials:
Sm amt worsted weight yarn (Green)
1 aluminum tart pan (4 1/2" dia x 1 1/4" T )
Fabric glue (optional)
Sewing needle/thread (optional)
Potpourri (preferrably cherry)
Tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)

Finishing Cherry Pie Sachet:

Rnd 1) With wrong side facing, join yarn to any hdc on last rnd of Part A with a sl st; ch 1; holding 2 short strips (Part C) close to work, sc over last dc post on both strips and in joining; * [sc in next 3 hdc, holding a long strip close to work (Part B), (sc over last dc post on strip and in next hdc) twice] twice, sc in next 3 hdc, holding opposite end of last short strip that's been joined and a new short strip (Part C) close to work, sc over last dc post on both strips and in next hdc; rep from * once, (all 8 strips are now joined, insert aluminium pan and weave the loose ends of each strip, alternating the weave; ** [sc in next 3 hdc, holding corresponding opposite end of long strip (Part B) close to work, (sc over last dc post on strip and in next hdc) twice] twice, sc in next 3 hdc, (fill with potpourri), holding opposite ends of last remaining two short strips close to work (Part C), (sc over last dc post on both strips and in next hdc) twice; rep from ** to ** once; join with a sl st in first sc: 56 sc.

Rnd 2) Fluted edge: Ch 2, (2 dc) in next sc, ch 2, sl st in front lp of next sc, sl st in back lp of same sc; * ch 2, (2 dc) in next sc, ch 2, sl st in front lp of next sc, sl st in back lp of same sc; rep from * around; join with a sl st in first st, draw up a short lp and sl st over hdc post behind the fluted edge, ch 12 (hanging loop), sl st over same st. Fasten off; secure ends.

Finishing Cherry Pie Towel Topper:

Rnd 1) Joining top halves of towel topper: pick up dropped lp from Part D; ch 2; holding back piece (Part C) close to work, (metal ring to the inside); sk next 13 dc from joining, (2 dc) in next dc through both front and back, ch 2, sl st in next dc on front piece only, sl st in next dc on back piece only; * ch 2, (2 dc) in next dc through both front and back pieces, ch 2, sl st in next dc on front piece only, sl st in next dc on back piece only; rep from * 11 times, ch 2, (2 dc) in next dc through both front and back, (working in front piece only), ch 2, sl st in front lp of next dc, sl st in back lp of same dc; ** ch 2, (2 dc) in next dc , ch 2, sl st in front lp of next dc, sl st in back lp of same dc; rep from ** around; join with a sl st in first st. Fasten off; secure ends.

Hanging Loop:

Sk next 7 "fluted groups" and join yarn bet next 2 "fluted groups" with a sl st; ch 12, sl st in same st. Fasten off; secure ends.

Joining Cherries (Part E):

Join green to back lp of right cherry (left cherry for left-handers) to 3rd hdc from joining of last cherry, with a sl st (use photo for st placement); ch 7, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, ch 7, sl st in back lp of center top hdc on center cherry, ch 1, turn work, sl st in each ch, sl st in top of ch, ch 5, sl st in back lp of last cherry, at center top. Fasten off; secure ends.

Finishing Towel Topper:

Sew or use fabric glue to secure cherries on top of "pie," (top piece), as desired.
