Double Hearts Fridgie

Materials:
Small amount worsted weight yarn (Red, Pink)
Crochet hook, size H

Finishing Materials:
1/3 yard (1/4") wide ribbon (Red)
1/3 yard (1/4") wide ribbon (Pink)
Glue
Tapestry needle
Magnets

Finished Size: 3 1/2" T x 5" W
Guage: Not important to over all size

Skill Level: Medium

Special Stitches:
Dc Dec: (Yo, insert hook in next st, pull up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook) as many times as stated, yo, draw through all lps on hook to complete the st.

First Heart: (Using pink or red)

Ch 26; join with a sl st in first ch to form a ring being careful not to twist ch.

Rnd 1) Ch 2; dc dec over next 2 chs (counts as first dec over 3 sts), dc in next 2 chs, (3 dc in next ch, dc in next ch) twice, dc in next 5 chs, (3 dc, trc, 3 dc) in next ch, dc in next 5 chs, (dc in next ch, 3 dc in next ch) twice, dc in last 2 chs; join with a sl st in first dec st. Fasten off, secure ends.

Second Heart: (Using second color)

Ch 26; pull end of ch through first heart; join with a sl st in first ch to form a ring (interlocking ring), being careful not to twist ch.

Rnd 1) Repinstructions for rd 1 of first heart. Fasten off, leaving a 6" tail.

Finishing:

Arrange hearts side by side, then thread tapestry needle with 6" tail and secure hearts together. Weave in ends and clip short. With ribbon, tie bows and glue pink ribbon to red heart and red ribbon to pink heart as shown in photograph. Attach magnets to the back.
