Crochet hook size H (or size desired)

1/2-yd (3/8" W) ribbon
1/3-yd (5/8" W) ribbon
Glue gun/glue

Card Holder:

Rnd 1) Ch 23; dc in 4th ch from hook (first 3 chs skipped count as first dc), dc in next 7 ch, ch 2, sk next 2 ch, dc in last 9 ch, working on opposite side of beg ch to create the back of card holder, dc in same ch as last dc is worked, dc in next 8 ch, ch 2, sk next 2 ch, dc in last 9 ch; join with a sl st to first dc: 36 dc/2 ch 2-sps.

Rnds 2-11) Ch 3; dc in next 8 dc, ch 2, dc in next 18 dc, ch 2, dc in last 9 dc; join with a sl st to first dc: 36 dc/2 ch 2-sps.

Rnd 12) Creating the edging: flatten the card holder so that the ch 2 sps on each side are centered with 9 dc to each side of the spaces; working down the side over the 2 end dc posts on ea row; ch 1, (sc, ch 3, sc) over last 2 dc posts on rnd 11; [(sc, ch 3, sc) over next 2 dc posts on next row] 10 times, working across the bottom, sk next dc, (sc, ch 3, sc) bet next 2 dc (working over the beg ch), [sk next 2 dc, (sc, ch 3, sc) bet next 2 dc] 3 times, (sc, ch 3, sc) in next ch 2 sp, [sk next 2 dc, (sc, ch 3, sc) bet next 2 dc] 3 times, working up the opposite side of holder, (sc, ch 3, sc) over next 2 dc posts on end of row 1, [(sc, ch 3, sc) over next 2 dc posts on end of next row] 10 times, working across the top (front piece only), sc in next 8 dc, (2 sc) in next ch 2 sp, sc in next 8 dc, working in back piece only, sc in next 8 dc, (2 sc) in next ch 2 sp, sc in next 8 dc; join with a sl st in first sc: 30 ch 3-sps. Fasten off; secure ends.

Finishing:

Weave narrow ribbon through the ch 2 sps starting on the front and ending on the back of card holder. Glue ends in place. Tie the wider ribbon into a bow and glue to the front top of card as shown. Insert card or money.
