Seasonal Quick & Easy Necklace

Materials:
Sm amts 100% cotton thread, size 10 (3-4 different colors as desired).
Steel crochet hook, size 5
Necklace clasp

Gauge: Not important to overall size

Skill Level: Easy

Basic Instructions:

Working with one of the desired colors, join thread to one end of necklace clasp with a sc leaving a long tail for weaving end later; * ch 3, dc in 3rd ch from hook; rep from * for desired length of necklace; join with a sl st to other end of necklace clasp. Fasten off leaving a long tail for weaving end later.

Join next color to necklace clasp with a sc leaving a long tail; * ch 3, dc in 3rd ch from hook; rep from * for same length as first strand; pull up a lp and drop st. Cut thread leaving an extra long tail for finishing off and weaving in later.

Continue to work strands as instructed.

Colors:

The necklace strands can be worked in one color, each strand a different color, or working 6-8 strands with 2 strands worked in the same color. Use your imagination and change the colors for holidays and/or seasons. Earth tones for autumn; reds, greens and golds for Christmas; reds and pinks for Valentines; shades of green for St. Patrick's and so on.

Joining and Twisting:

The strands can be twised in one of two ways:

1) Twist the current strand around the previous strand and then join to other end of necklace clasp.

2) Once all strands have been worked, twist the entire bunch, and then join the ends - being careful they don't unwind.
