Witch Face: (Using cream)
Ch 3; join with a sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1) Ch 3 (counts as first dc); (3 dc, ch 3, sl st in top of last dc formed - nose formed, 4 dc, 5 hdc) in ring; join with a sl st to first dc (3rd ch of beg ch 3): 8 dc/5 hdc. Fasten off; secure ends. Mark this as the RS of work.
Body: (Using black)
Row 1) With RS facing and nose faceing to the left - right for left-handers), join black to 4th dc from nose; ch 3, (4 dc) in joining: 5 dc.
Row 2) Ch 3, turn work, dc in first dc, dc in next 3 dc, (2 dc) in last dc: 7 dc.
Row 3) Ch 3, turn work; (2 dc) in first dc, dc in next 5 dc, (2 dc) in last dc: 10 dc.
Row 4) Ch 3, turn work; dc in first dc, dc in next 8 dc, (3 dc) in last dc: 13 dc.
Row 5) Ch 4, turn work (counts as first trc); (2 trc) in first dc, trc in next 7 dc, dc in next 4 dc, (2 dc) in last dc: 10 trc/6 dc. Fasten off; secure ends.
Sleeve: (Using black)
Row 1) RS facing, join yarn to row 1 of body over end dc post with a sl st; ch 3, (2 dc) in joining: 3 dc.
Row 2) Ch 2, turn work; dc in first dc, trc in next dc leaving last dc unworked: 3 sts. Fasten off; secure ends.
Hair: (Using green)
Cut around 8 strands of green yarn, measuring approximately 3" long. Starting with the next unworked sc on head from back of dress (working in back lps only), join 1st 4 lengths to back of head by folding in half and partially pulling folded portion through the st from front to back, using hook. Grab ends of yarn and pull through the the fold, and tighten. Repeat with the next 3 strands working up back of head for each one. Repeat again for last 4 strands working in front lps only (opposite first 4 lengths that are joined). When all strands have bene joined, clip ends to deisred length and then fray hair by splitting the yarn apart.
Hat: (Using black)
Row 1) Ch 4, (2 dc) in 4th ch from hook (first 3 chs skipped count as first dc): 3 dc.
Row 2) Ch 3, turn work; dc in first dc, dc in next dc, (2 dc) in last dc: 5 dc.
Row 3) Ch 3, turn work; dc in first dc, dc in next 3 dc, (2 dc) in last dc: 7 dc.
Rnd 4) Ch 3, turn work; (working in back lps only), (3 dc) in first dc, dc in next 5 dc, [3 dc, (ch 2, dc, ch 2, sl st ) in top of last dc just formed, 3 dc] in next dc, working back across in front unworked lps, dc in next 5 dc, (4 dc) in last dc; join with a sl st to first dc clsoing the rnd: 25 dc/2 ch-2 sts. Fasten off; secure ends.
Broom: (Using lt brown)
Ch 24; sl st in 3rd ch from hook (top of broom handle), sl st in ea rem ch across, working very loosely. Fasten off leaving a tail. Cut 4 lengths of yarn measuring approximately 6" long. Fold strands in half and partially pull through bottom of the broom handle using crochet hook. Grabe ends of yarn and pull throug hthe fold and tighten. Clip ends to measure approx. 1 1/2" long and then fray ends by partially splitting tye yarn.
Finishing:
Sew hat to witch's head at desired angle using the photo as a guide (hooked portion goes to the front aligning with nose). Using the tail from broom, sew witch to broom handle at desired angle. Sew corner bottom portion of sleeve to handle. Glue eye to head and attach magnet to the back.
