Candy Cane Cover:
Row 1) Ch 32, dc in 5th ch from hook (first 4 chs skipped count as first dc), ch 1, sk next ch, dc in next 2 ch, (ch 1, 2 dc) in same ch as last dc is worked, (ch 1, 2 dc in next ch) twice, ch 1, dc in same ch as last 2 dc is worked, dc in next ch, (ch 1, sk next ch, dc in next 2 ch) 7 times: 26 dc/12 ch 1-sps.
Row 2) Ch 4, turn work, dc in first st, ch 3, sl st in top of last dc (picot made), (sk next dc and ch 1 sp, sl st in next dc, ch 4, dc in same st, ch 3, sl st in top of last dc for a picot) 11 times, sk next dc and ch 1 sp, sl st in next dc: 12 scallops/12 picots. Fasten off; secure ends.
Finishing:
Weave candy cane through ch 1 sps bet dc groups. Tie a ribbon bow to 3rd dc group from curved point of candy cane. Trim ends as needed.
