Shell: (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in indicated st.

Double Shell: (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in indicated st.

Edging:

Row 1) Ch 4, (dc, ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in 4th ch from hook (first 3 chs skipped count as first dc) (counts as first double shell): 1 double shell.

Row 2) Ch 5, turn work; shell in next ch 2 sp see special sts, ch 3, shell in next ch 2 sp: 2 shells/1 ch 3-sp.

Row 3) Ch 5, turn work; shell in first shell sp, ch 1, (dc, ch 3, dc) in 2nd ch of next sp (center ch), ch 1, shell in next shell sp: 2 shells/2 ch 1-sps/1 ch 3-sp.

Row 4) Ch 5, turn work; shell in first shell sp, ch 2, dc in next ch 3 sp, (ch 1, dc) 5 times in same ch 3 sp, ch 2, shell in next shell sp: 2 shells/2 ch 2-sps/5 ch 1-sps/6 dc.

Row 5) Ch 5, turn work; shell in first shell sp, (ch 3, sc in next ch 1 sp) 5 times, ch 3, shell in next shell sp: 2 shells/1beg pineapple with 4 ch 3-lps/2 ch 3-sps.
