Handle: (Using CC)
Rnd 1) Join yarn to plastic ring; Ch 1, 20 sc around ring; join with a slip st in first sc. Fasten off, secure ends.
Bell: (Using MC)
Row 1) Join yarn to back loop of any sc on ring; Ch 3, 2 dc in joining, (3 dc in next sc) twice: 9 dc.
Row 2) Ch 3, turn work (counts as first dc, now and throughout); 2 dc in first dc, dc in next 7 dc, 3 dc in last dc: 13 dc.
Row 3) Ch 3, turn work; 2 dc in first dc, dc in next 11 dc, 3 dc in last dc: 17 dc.
Row 4) Ch 3, turn work; dc in first dc, dc in next 15 dc, 2 dc in last dc: 19 dc.
Row 5) Ch 3, turn work; dc in first dc, dc in next 17 dc, 2 dc in last dc: 21 dc.
Rows 6-9) Ch 3, turn work; dc in next 20 dc: 21 dc.
Row 10) Ch 3, turn work; dc in first dc, dc in next 19 dc, 2 dc in last dc: 23 dc.
Row 11) Ch 3, turn work; dc in first dc, dc in next 21 dc, 2 dc in last dc: 25 dc.
Row 12) Ch 3, turn work; dc in first dc, dc in next 23 dc, 2 dc in last dc: 27 dc.

Opposite Bell Side: (Using MC)
Row 1) Join yarn to Rnd 1 of Ring, working in free loops opposite first Row worked; Ch 3, 2 dc in joining, (3 dc in next sc) twice: 9 dc.
Rows 2-14) Repeat instructions for Rows 2-14 for Bell.
Closing, Edging & Clapper: (Using CC)
Rnd 1) Join yarn to Row 1 of Bell, working over dc post through both sides of bell; Ch 1, 2 sc over the post (through both sides), 2 sc over each dc post working down side of Bell, 3 sc in next corner, sc in next 19 sts across bottom of Bell, turn work, working back over previous sts, skip next st, 5 dc in next st, skip next st, slip st in next st (Clapper), ch 1, turn work back, 2 sc in each st, working back across the Clapper, sc in next unworked st on bottom of Bell and in each remaining st across bottom of Bell, 3 sc in next corner, working up side of Bell, 2 sc over each dc post through both sides; join with a slip st to Ring. Fasten off, secure ends.
Optional: This pattern can be worked up for Christmas, a wedding, and 4th of July using appropriate colors.
