Sm amt 4 Ply worsted weight yarn (White)
Crochet Hook, size F

Finishing Materials:
Tapestry needle
100% cotton thread, size 10 (Red or Black)

Finished Size: 4 1/4" in dia.
Gauge: Not important to over all size

Skill Level: Beginner

Coaster: (Using worsted weight yarn)

Rnd 1) Ch 2; (8 sc) in 2nd ch from hook; join with a sl st in first sc: 8 sc.

Rnds 2-4) Ch 1, sc in joining, (2 sc) in next sc; * sc in next sc, (2 sc) in next sc; rep from * around; join with a sl st in first sc: 12 sc/18 sc/27 sc.

Rnds 5-6) Ch 1, sc in joining, sc in next sc, (2 sc) in next sc; * sc in next 2 sc, (2 sc) in next sc; rep from * around; join with a sl st in first sc: 36 sc/48 sc.

Rnds 7-8) Ch 1, sc in joining; * sc in next sc; rep from * around; join with a sl st in first sc: 48 sc. Fasten off, secure ends after last rnd.

Finishing:

Thread tapestry needle with red or black cotton crochet thread and embroider seams on baseball as shown in photo using the technique you like best. Several methods will work equally as well, which include basic embroidery. When finished working basic line stitches as shown here; - - - - , bring needle up on one side of the embroidered line and back down on the opposite side to resemble a closed zipper. -|-|-|-|-|-|- Other methods include the blanket stitch or a line of daisy stitches.
