Materials:
10-yds Coats & Clark Knit-Cro-Sheen (color #A64-1 - White)
20-yds Coats & Clark Knit-Cro-Sheent (color #A64-165 - Pastels)
Steel crochet hook, size 7 USA (1.65 mm)

Finishing Materials:
Sm amt of ribbon (1/8" w)
Glue

Finished Size: 5 1/2" L x 1 1/2" W
Gauge: 2 rows = 1/2"

Bookmark:

Row 1) With white, ch 37 loosely.

Row 2) Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across.

Row 3) Ch 3, turn work; dc in 3rd ch from hook, *skip next 2 sc, sc, 2 dc in next sc* and repeat between * across until last 5 sts. Skip next 2 sc, dc in ea. of the last 2 sc.

Row 4) Ch 3, turn work; dc in next st, sc in ea. st across ending with dc in ea. of the last 2 sc. Fasten off.

Edging:

Rnd 1) With pastels, and right side of work facing you, join w/sl st to any sc of prior row. Ch 3, dc in ea st and 3 dc in ea. corner. Join w/sl st to beg ch 3. Do not turn work.

Rnd 2) Ch 1; sc, 2 dc in next dc *skip next 2 dc, sc, 2 dc in next dc* and repeat between * around and in all four corners. Join w/sl st to beg sc, fasten off and secure ends.

Finishing:

Lightly mist bookmark with water or spray starch, place a piece of cloth such as a handkerchief on top. With a cool iron gently press for just a few seconds. Glue a bow to bottom center front of bookmark.
