Materials:
Small amount of worsted weight yarn, (Black)
Small amount of worsted weight yarn, (Brown)
Small amount of worsted weight yarn, (Red)

Crochet hook, size E

Finished Size:
Large Blackboard: 3 1/2" W x 4 1/4" L
Small Blackboard: 2 1/2" W x 2 1/2" L
Gauge: Not important to over all size
Large Blackboard: (Using Black) (Size F hook)
Row 1) Ch 13; sc in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across: 12 sc.
Row 2) Ch 1, turn work; Sc in first sc and in each sc across: 12 sc.
Rows 3-14) Repeat Row 2. Fasten off, secure ends.
Edging: (Using Brown) (Size F hook)
Rnd 1) Attach yarn to joining; ch 2, evenly hdc around blackboard, placing 5 hdc in each corner; join with a slip st to 2nd chain of beg. ch 2. Fasten off, secure ends.
Apple: (Using Red) (Size E hook)
Rnd 1) (Starting with a 6" tail); Ch 2; 8 sc in 2nd chain from hook; join with a slip st in first sc: 8 sc.
Rnd 2) Hdc in next sc, slip st in next sc, (sc in next sc, slip st in next sc) twice, hdc in next sc, slip st in first st. Fasten off, secure end.
Leaves: (Using Green) (Size E hook)
Attach yarn to center top of apple in joining; Ch 3, slip st in same st, ch 4, slip st in same st. Fasten off, secure ends.
Finishing:
Using beg. tail on apple, secure to bottom corner of black board. Weave in ends, clip short. Using White or Cream yarn, embroider on front of blackboard, A, B, C over the 3rd and 4th rows. Attach magnet to backside.
Small Blackboard: (Using Black) (Size F hook)
Row 1) Ch 9; sc in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across: 8 sc.
Row 2) Ch 1, turn work; Sc in first sc and in each sc across: 8 sc.
Rows 3-8) Repeat Row 2. Fasten off, secure ends.
Edging: (Using Brown) (Size F hook)
Rnd 1) Attach yarn to joining; ch 1, evenly sc around blackboard, placing 3 sc in each corner; join with a slip st in first sc. Fasten off, secure ends.
Repeat instructions for apple and leaves above. Use either F or E hook, as desired.
Finishing:
Using beg. tail on apple, secure to bottom corner of black board. Weave in ends, clip short. Attach magnet to backside.
