Small amount of 4 ply worsted weight yarn (Lt Brown, Cream)
Crochet hook, size E

Finishing Materials:
1/4 yd. Fabric, light brown (optional)
Sewing thread/sewing machine (optional)
Dry potpourri (optional)
Tapestry needle
Magnets

Finished Size: 3 1/2" in dia
Gauge: 2 rows = 1"/ 3 dc = 1/2"

Skill Level: Medium

Pie Center: (Using lt brown) work tight for best results.

Rnd 1) Ch 4; (11 dc) in 4th ch from hook (first 3 chs skipped count as first dc); join with a sl st to top of first ch 4: 12 dc.

Rnd 2) Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in joining; * (2 dc) in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st to first dc: 24 dc.

Rnd 3) Ch 3, (2 dc) in next dc; * dc in next dc, (2 dc) in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st to first dc: 36 dc.

Fluted Edge: (Using cream)

With yarn ch 2 in joining, dc in next dc, ch 2, sl st in front lp only of next dc; * sl st in back lp of same dc, ch 2, dc in next dc (both lps), ch 2 sl st in front lp only of next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st in first st, sl st in back. Fasten off, secure ends.

Finishing:

Attach magnets to back of pie and enjoy! For a variation, crochet two pie centers. Place pieces backs facing and follow instructions above for fluted edge to join front back, inserting sachet pouch when half way complete. Attach magnets to back.

Sachet Pouch:

Cut two circles measuring 2 ¼" in diar out of light brown fabric. Place circles wrong sides facing out and sew ¼" seam allowance about three fourths around. Clip seam allowance and turn right side out. Fill with scented dry potpourri such as cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice. Sew the opening closed and insert in crocheted pie center.
