Large Cool Whip container (6 1/4" in dia. at top x 4 1/4" T)

Finishing Materials:
Tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)

Gauge: 2 rows post sts = 3/4" / 2 rows dc = 1"
Preparing the container:
Using the hole punch, prepare the Cool Whip container for joining the crocheted bowl on round 15 by punching holes around the top rim. Start by punching 2 holes on exact opposite sides of the bowl, punch 2 more holes evenly spaced between the first 2 (4 holes), punch holes evenly spaced between each hole (8 holes), now punch holes evenly spaced between the last 8 (16 holes), finish by punching holes evenly spaced between the last 16 holes for a total of 32 holes. .
Bowl Bottom:
Rnd 1) Ch 4; 11 dc in 4th chain from hook; join with a slip st to 4th ch of beg ch 4: 12 dc.
Rnd 2) Ch 3 (counts as first dc, now and throughout), dc in joining; * 2 dc in next dc; repeat from * around; join with a slip st to first dc: 24 dc.
Rnd 3) Ch 3, 2 dc in next dc; * dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc; repeat from * around; join with a slip st to first dc: 36 dc.
Rnd 4) Ch 3, dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc; * dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc; repeat from * around; join with a slip st to first dc: 48 dc. Do not end off.
Bowl Sides:
Rnd 5) (Working in back loops only); Ch 3; * dc in next dc; repeat from * around; join with a slip st to first dc: 48 dc.
Rnd 6) (Working in both loops); Slip st around the post of the same dc; Ch 3, fpdc over next 2 dc, bpdc over the next 3 dc; * fpdc over the next 3 dc, bpdc over the next 3 dc; repeat from * around; join with a slip st to first dc: 24 fpdc/24 bpdc.

Front Post Double Crochet/Fpdc: Yo, insert hook around the dc post from the front of work, to the back around the post, and back to the front, pull up a loop, (yo, draw through 2 loops on hook) twice, to complete the stitch.
Back Post Double Crochet/Bpdc: Yo, insert hook around the dc post from the back of work, to the front around the post, and back to the back, pull up a loop, (yo, draw through 2 loops on hook) twice, to complete the stitch.
Rnd 9) Slip st around the post of the same st; Ch 3, 2 fpdc over next st (increase made), fpdc over next st, bpdc over next st, 2 bpdc over next st (increase made), bpdc over next st; * fpdc over next st, 2 fpdc over next st (increase made), fpdc over next st, bpdc over next st, 2 bpdc over next st (increase made), bpdc over next st; repeat from * around; join with a slip st to first dc: 32 fpdc/32 bpdc.
