Row 1) With Aran or Cream; ch 27; (sc, dc, sc) in 5th ch from hook (first 4 skipped chs count as first dc and foundation ch); * sk next 2 ch, (sc, dc, sc) in next ch; rep from * across, dc in last ch: 8 groups.

Rows 2-17) Ch 3 (counts as first dc, now and throughout), sk next sc, (sc, dc, sc) in next dc; * sk next 2 sc, (sc, dc, sc) in next dc; rep from * across, sk last sc, dc in ch 3 turning ch: 8 groups. Fasten off, secure ends on last row.

Joining & Edging:
Row 1) With work facing wrong side up, last row at top, fold in thirds, slightly overlapping the ends; join Rose to folded corner st, working over ch 3 sps; ch 1, (sc, dc, sc) in same sp through both sides, [(sc, dc, sc) in next ch 3 sp] twice, through both sides, work next (sc, dc, sc) through next ch 3 sp, through all 3 thicknesses (where edges are overlapped), [(sc, dc, sc) in next ch 3 sp] 3 times: 7 groups. Fasten off; secure ends.

Finishing:
Insert purse tissue. Ribbons can be added to each end at opening if preferred.
