What fun! I have the new Twinkie Chan Book; “Crocheted Abode A La Mode: 20 Yummy Crochet Projects for Your Home.” The most incredible “non-edible” delights await inside for each room of the house.
Adorable, cute, sweet, tasty are just a few of the words that describe these patterns! Who else but Twinkie Chan would think of designing a Cherry Pie Seat Cushion, a Banana Split Throw Pillow, Frosted Animal Cookie Garland, or a Cheeseburger Tissue Box Cozy.
This fun crochet book has 20 patterns to tease your palette arranged room by room order starting with the kitchen & dining. Moving along, we go to living and lounging, bath & beauty, and then on to the home office.
I love how the book carries the theme for food projects. Instead of a materials list, each has an “ingredient’s list.” Cute, yes! Full color pictures, detailed instruction and Twinkie even adds a personable introduction to each pattern. I love that it puts us in touch with the designer. But there’s more because you get to know Twinkie better through her introduction to the book itself.

Fasten off leaving a tail 18″ (45.5 cm) long for sewing.
finish stuffing the body, being sure to stuff into the bottom corners of the corn dog, moving stuffing into the base with room for the stick. This keeps the body from wobbling around too much on the pen.
Place stick on pen and insert stick so that 1-1.5″ (2.5-4 cm) is inside the body. Some resistance against the stuffing is desirable for stability. Sew body to stick.
Using photo as guide, add mustard or ketchup using embroidered chain st or surface sl st, or crochet about 50 chains and sew to corn dog as desired.
