I felt like naming this doily “surprise by design” because what you see now is as far as I’ve gotten for part 1 of this CAL. Sometimes surprises are so much fun and who knows where this mandala doily will end (or where!)… but that’s half the fun isn’t it! Come join me while we crochet together for a pretty Mother’s Day gift for someone special! Please note, the first set of instructions won’t be published until the date shown below.
This new little Duckling Easter basket would be ideal for toddlers in celebration of Easter. A sweet little duckling sits on the back half appearing as if he’s holding the basket right in his lap! Why not surprise a youngster or even a loved one residing in a rest home with this adorable basket filled with goodies. Week 3 instructions now posted (a day early)!
Mandalas are so beautiful with their color changes, stitching over, around and behind previous rounds to create a kaleidoscope effect that’s not only beautiful but keeps the eye moving outward from the center to the perimeter of the project. But I also like projects that are functional too.
