Often the best gifts are made from granny squares, be it totes, afghans, vests, table mats – well the list goes on and on. Can you just imagine…
Granny squares come in abundance of styles and this particular square is one I designed years back. I’ve updated the instructions and hope the interlocking corner chain stitches not only bring beauty to your project, but texture too. Enjoy!
Our next square for the Mystery Lapghan CAL has just been released, we’re on Week 12! And we don’t have but just a few more squares left – join in because we’ll be posting prizes soon and do we have a lot of super great prizes lined up for our winners – but you have to finish the lapghan first…
With 36 squares for our Mystery Lapghan CAL and approx 30 designers, inevitably things come up, plans are not initiated in time and we come up blank! I came up with this 6-inch square to fill in the gap as needed, but it’s certainly worthy of being an addition to any piece where a 6-inch square is needed!
What started out as a new design for the Mystery Lapghan CAL wasn’t working out with the size needed – 6-inches. I didn’t care for the edging/border to keep it within the 6-inches so I finally decided to scrap it only later to come back and publish the pattern as is apart from the mystery CAL! It measures 7-inches. Enjoy!
Are you ready!
I hope you enjoy the very first square in our Mystery Lapghan CAL! Before you scroll down though, please read this information!

Work up a beautiful lapghan, full sized afghan or even a pillowghan using our Mint Delight Motif for a dramatic piece that’s sure to please. [Read more…]
