Craft & Crochet Charities
Artists Helping Children
seeks to enhance the quality of life for sick, abused, or neglected children. These children, burdened by circumstances outside their control, often live in the most sterile and uninviting environments. By painting murals and creating other art for and with the children, we create an enriching and happy atmosphere to encourage their emotional and physical healing and well-being. We are also looking for handmade knitted, crocheted, and sewn cuddly animals, dolls, puppets, and other handmade toys. There is no greater way to show you care than to make a cuddly toy or beautiful bag for a sick or needy child.
Crochet4SeniorCitizens
Panda Lewis founded this wonderful charity in September of 2001. An independent community service project.
Warming Families
A volunteer project providing blankets and warm items (hats, mittens, etc.) to homeless and domestic
violence shelters, as well as foster homes and assisted living facilities. Free patterns and family
charity work information can be found on our website.
Stitches From the Heart
Whose members contribute their talents by knitting, crocheting or quilting for needy children. The volunteers send their finished gifts of knitted and crocheted hats, booties, sweaters, blankets and quilts to Stitches headquarters. In turn, these items are added to other items and regularly sent to hospitals and charities throughout the United States. In just the first four years since Stitches was started, Stitches has donated over 102,800 hand-made warmth-giving items to over 380 hospitals charities and community centers nationwide.
Angels for Hope
Our mission is to help people of all ages in need of hope or a smile. We want people to know there are others out there who care, and know they are not alone in this world. All of the Angels for Hope members have a heart of gold, and want to share the gift God gave them to bring hope and a smile to someone who desperately needs it.
