Christmas Eve Ride Filet Runner
The magic of Christmas Eve comes alive with our filet crochet runner depicting Santa's sleigh and all eight reindeer, plus Rudolph with his bright red nose! Each reindeer trimmed in red and green plaid ribbon bows appear to be dancing across the midnight sky. The twinkle and sparkle of the Christmas lights remind you of a bright and starry night! Instructions include how to make the fabric backing but the runner can be made plain too!
To complete this project as shown you'll need:
- 1 ½ yds solid fabric for backing (dk blue or as desired),
- 1 ½ yds sheer fabric for backing (blue or as desired)
- matching thread
- sewing machine
- sm amt yarn (for joining the backing to the filet
- 1 set of Philips LED warm white battery operated micro lights (18 bulbs) (available at most discount stores such as Wal-mart, Target, K-Mart) (optional)
- 1 yd (3/8" W) green plaid Christmas ribbon
- 1 yd (3/8" W) red plaid Christmas ribbon
- 1/3 yd (3/8"-5/8" W) Christmas ribbon
- 1 red bead, or red pompom, or red light (for Rudolh's nose)
