Filet Shell Easter Hat
This lovely crochet hat is created using filet crochet and shells! Embellished with dried flowers, ribbons, and lace, it's a charming accent piece. Tossed casually on a bed or chair, this hat will accent any room. This project is sculpted using either a commercial stiffener or a home made solution. For shaping, a 1 (5” dia) Styrofoam ball, cut in half is needed for the crown. To complete this piece you'll need; silk flowers or dried flowers, 1-yd (3/8” W) narrow ribbon, and 1-yd (1/2”-5/8” W) flat lace.
Medium: 100% cotton size 10 thread
Hook size: Steel hook size 8 (1.50 mm)
Measurements: 12" in dia
