Granny's Teacup Doily

A lovely design handed down from Marta Nelson's family featuring a crochet teapot with dainty teacups & saucers encircling a lacy doily. To complete this project you'll need; 1 med round balloon and 11 (1 1/2" dia) Styrofoam balls for molding, and a small amt of Polyestery Fiberfil. Hook size: Steel crochet hook size 7 USA (1.75 mm)

Sheila writes: "I purchased your tea cup doily pattern a while back and I have not done the whole thing yet; but, I have made 120 teacups and put 2 tsp of plantain leaf tea in a small plastic bag and put them inside the stiffened cups. They will be used as favors for our church retreat luncheon in October. I made all the main part white and used various colors for the edging of the cup and saucer. They are so beautiful. Thank you,"
