Shaded Lace Decorative Hat
Our beautiful and elegant decorative crochet hat boasts a lovely starburst affect featuring shades of tan and then edged in Victorian red. Adorned with silk flowers and a satin bow, it's a beautiful piece to toss on a bed or chair, or displayed on a wall. This project is sculpted using either a commercial stiffener or a home made solution. For shaping you'll need a Styrofoam ball, 5" in dia; cut in half for the crown and a flat Styrofoam board for the brim, or CYBAR, the ultimate shaping and blocking board. To complete, you'll need 1/3-yd (5/8" W) ribbon, 1 lg silk flower, 2 med silk flowers, and 2 sm silk flowers, or your own preference of embellishments.
