Our beautiful crochet vintage doily was derived from a vintage hot mat in Star Book No. 64, Flower Doilies. A centered rose is accented with shells and a lovely ruffle for an elegant doily. With a little revision, this vintage pattern creates a lovely doily that's perfect for Valentines or Mother's Day.

Sherrie writes: "I wanted to send a picture of the Vintage Rose doily. I was thrilled how it turned out. I worked it up in spring colors and think it would be perfect for Easter."
Sherrie says she used Rustica Eclat brand but Aunt Lydia's would be great too... in light yellow, white, teal, and lavender.
Angela writes: "Just thought I would send you a pic of another completed doily from your pattern, 'vintage rose doily' which I purchased recently. It is for my Mum and she chose the colours. I know I have told you before but I feel so confident when I am working on one of your patterns knowing full well that the piece will turn out and this doily was the same; no hassles at all, and it turned out lovely and was quick to make up as well. Thanks once again for your wonderful site. Keep up the good work knowing that you are inspiring crocheters everywhere even here in Aus.
"I just had to add that since I have discovered your site and purchased and worked on your lovely patterns, my crochet skills have improved and now I am working on the intermediate and experienced patterns with more ease. Thanks for that!!! Also thanks for your personal touch to your site. We know there is a person behind the website and I am sure everybody is so pleased to hear from you when you check to see if we have received our patterns."
Angela writes: "Received both. :) Both equally lovely...Am happily working on the first to 'practice'.....nearly done! Due to the fact that I have to put up with quite a bit of pain from my crocheting, I definitely do appreciate your patterns because I know the piece will turn out and I will never have to give up on them."
Pat H. writes: "I have one doily completed except for sewing the ends away and blocking it very nice pattern and easy I love it thank you."
