Winter Wonderland Runner

Brrrr! Its cold outside and our cute filet crochet runner has snowmen trimmed with top hats and bows and then edged with lacets. A basic knowledge of filet is needed to work this pattern. The more experienced crocheter can work up a shorter runner, converting it to a doily by working just one snowman or two. See pictures submitted below for ideas.

Medium: #10 cotton thread

Hook size: Steel hook size 8

Measurements: 40 1/2" L x 10 1/2" W.

Patricia writes: "Hi Cylinda, well I finished the snowman runner and put the bows on the hats and I kept thinking it needed something so I took red ribbon and ran it down the very outside open mesh, on the border, all the way around. I cut the ribbon and glued each corner where it overlapped and then I made a green bow for each corner. It looks nice; of course you could change the colors and put green ribbon all the way around instead of the red or burgundy. It came out so nice" (Left photo)
